Who Is Fort Care?

Fort Care was founded in 2019 by Ron Fahy and became a Military One Source partner in March 2020. Since then, we have been able to honor over 50,000 military members, families, and veterans through our program. We at Fort Care would love to partner with you to expand our foundation to be able to honor all our heroes across our beautiful nation.

We honor our Military Soldiers, Military Families, Military Members, and Veterans. Everyone in our operation are volunteers, including active duty military, military family members, and veterans. No one gets paid to do what we do. Every dollar donated goes directly to the expenses of getting food for our Fort Care honor packages.

Fort Care is located at 49 Music Square W. Suite 505, Nashville, TN 37203.

What Does Fort Care Do?

Fort Care curates and delivers honor packages to deployed service members, provides transition support for veterans returning to civilian life, and builds community networks that connect military families with local resources. Our programs include Honor Packages, Veteran Support Programs, Community Building initiatives, and Family Support services. Each program is designed to address specific challenges faced by military-connected individuals and families.

Who Does Fort Care Serve?

Fort Care serves all branches of the U.S. military — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Our reach extends to active-duty members, reservists, National Guard members, veterans, and their families. Whether deployed overseas, stationed domestically, or transitioning to civilian life, Fort Care's programs are designed to meet the needs of every stage of military service.

What Makes Fort Care Different?

Fort Care is 100% volunteer-run. No one gets paid — every dollar donated goes directly to the expenses of getting food for our honor packages. We maintain direct relationships with the units and families we serve, providing ongoing support rather than one-time gestures. According to military family advocacy research, personalized community-based support has a 60% higher impact on military family well-being than generalized national programs.

What Is Fort Care's Process?

  1. Identification — We identify service members and families who need support through military channels and community referrals.
  2. Curation — Honor packages are assembled with items specifically requested by service members and their families.
  3. Delivery — Packages are shipped through verified military postal channels to ensure safe delivery.
  4. Follow-up — We maintain ongoing communication with recipients and adjust our programs based on feedback.

What Has Fort Care Accomplished?

Since 2019, Fort Care has sent over 115,000 honor packages, hosted 254+ on-base events, and logged 72,000+ volunteer hours. Our volunteer network continues to grow, with dedicated community members donating their time and resources to honor those who serve.

Why Does Fort Care Hold an Official MOU With the U.S. Military?

Fort Care is one of only 3 organizations in the United States authorized to operate directly on military bases through an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. military. This partnership allows Fort Care to deliver honor packages, host events, and provide support where service members live and work. Underserved bases across the country are requesting Fort Care's presence, and our current donor drive funds expansion to these installations.
