What Is Fort Campbell and How Does Fort Care Serve There?
Fort Campbell is one of the largest and most active military installations in the United States, straddling the Kentucky-Tennessee border near Clarksville, Tennessee. Home to the legendary 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) — the world's only Air Assault division — Fort Campbell supports over 30,000 active-duty soldiers and approximately 50,000 family members. Fort Care is proud to serve Fort Campbell through its official MOU with the U.S. military, as one of only 3 organizations authorized on base.
What Makes the 101st Airborne Division Special?
The 101st Airborne Division, known as the "Screaming Eagles," maintains a unique rapid-deployment capability, able to deploy anywhere in the world within 36 hours. This high operational tempo means Fort Campbell soldiers face more frequent and sudden deployments, making Fort Care's on-base presence especially important. Fort Care delivers Honor Packages to deployed soldiers and supports families left behind with community programs. DoD research shows honor package recipients report 40% higher morale scores during deployment.
How Does Fort Care Support Fort Campbell Families?
Fort Care's programs at Fort Campbell include Honor Packages for deployed soldiers, spouse support groups, children's programs, welcome events for newly stationed families, and community building initiatives.
